CANDID THEATER COMPANY PRESENTS JOHN LOGAN'S
“PETER AND ALICE”
When Alice Liddell Hargreaves met Peter Llewelyn Davies at the opening of a Lewis Carroll exhibition in 1932, the original Alice in Wonderland came face to face with the original Peter Pan. In this remarkable play, enchantment and reality collide as this brief encounter lays bare the lives of these two extraordinary characters, exploring how they were both affected by World War One.
Following the Lindberg kidnapping piece Hauptmann in 2014 and his one-woman show I’ll Eat You Last in 2016, this production marks Candid Theater’s third regional premiere of a work by John Logan, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter and Tony Award-winning playwright. Logan is best known for his 6-time Tony Award-winning play Red, and also as the Academy Award winning screenwriter who wrote The Aviator, Hugo, and Gladiator.
